Medium Band Exercises

Resistance bands have been an essential part of my training for years and they have many different uses. To get you started, here are some of my favourite exercises that I use almost every session.

ARM ACCESSORIES

Accessory exercises are a great opportunity to add more volume to areas that need it. The medium band provides resistance of 10-25kg which is ideal for arms movements like the scott curl and tricep push down. Adjust the intensity of these movements by moving further from the anchor point or looping halfway instead of the end.

Perform: 2-4 sets x 10-20 reps

GYM ALTERNATIVES

Bodyweight has you covered but there are some moves that are either too easy or hard to replicate outside of a gym. Bands provide variable resistance to add to existing movements like push ups or perform novel movements like pec flyes. Adjust the intensity of these movements by reducing the length of the band.

Perform: 2-4 sets x 10-20 reps
