The full workshop will cover the most effective exercises, techniques and programming methods to achieve these skills. This workshop is suitable for beginners to intermediate trainees with some experience. A short handstand hold and basic bodyweight strength is necessary to make the most of this workshop.

The advanced workshop delves deeper into the development of handbalancing and one arm work. A minimum of 30s straight line handstand is needed to get the most out of this workshop. Through this workshop, Tom and Ulrik will be covering the essentials of handbalancing and bodyweight skills. Concepts and topics covered will be:

  • Shoulder mobility & alignment

  • Achieving straight line

  • Creating & controlling balance

  • Pancake & press flexibility

  • Lower limb shapes

  • Press to handstand development

  • Introduction into bodyweight skills

  • Middle split & straddle flexibility

  • Scapula education & positions

  • Planche & front lever development

  • Achieving the ring muscle up

  • Developing ring routines

  • Programming for handstand & strength

Advanced Workshop Content:

Ulrik and Tom will be covering the advanced development of handbalancing. Concepts and topics covered will be:

  • Perfecting the straight line

  • Developing tuck and 7 position

  • Introduction into one arm handstand

  • Side bending and using blocks

  • Advanced press variations

About The Hosts:



"I have trained using various systems including endurance, traditional bodybuilding, Olympic lifting and powerlifting but have dedicated myself for the past 5 years to bodyweight training with more recent years taking a handbalance focus. Whilst I am a self-experimenter at heart and mostly self-taught, I am formally educated under the CHEK Institute and Poliquin group. I have been coaching specifically bodyweight strength, handbalancing and flexibility for over 2 years helping people to progress their skills. I also run a YouTube channel with over 150k subscribers sharing my experience with bodyweight and flexibility training helping people all over the world on their journey."



"I have been practising handbalancing for about 6 years, first attempting to train on my own without much success. I then met Mikael Kristiansen and began his coaching for the following 3 years. Before handbalancing, I was searching for “my thing”. The thing I wanted to become good at and with this. Everything just clicked.
